Antela pendant light in textured resin, Japanese bird's nest style

The Antela pendant light is the closest thing to a mochi fresh out of its mold, still warm and slightly irregular at the edges, balanced at the end of a cord. It's a piece that first seduces with its generous roundness and mineral, almost grainy touch, like dough still bearing the marks of the hands that shaped it. We drew inspiration from the japandi movement, where Japanese simplicity meets Scandinavian warmth, with a nod to the shape of a bird's nest: a full, enveloping dome, hollowed underneath to reveal a warm, welcoming cavity, like the cozy heart of a nest lined with light. Its rounded, asymmetrical silhouette, free of hard edges or sharp lines, evokes the outline of a freshly shaped rice ball, still slightly bumpy, bearing the mark of the hand rather than industrial perfection.

Its sand-white finish mimics the texture of raw plaster, almost porous, like a natural eggshell left in its raw state. Inside, the material becomes smoother and takes on a golden hue, capturing the light and casting it back in a warm, diffuse glow, like the glow of an ember smoldering under ash. The shade, shaped in resin for a finish that is both matte and textured, weighs 2 kg on its own, a weight that visually anchors the piece without ever weighing down the space. The inner body is made of iron, providing a solid, durable structure beneath this almost organic shell.

Antela comes in three sizes: 30, 40 and 50 cm, suited to a reading nook as well as a kitchen island or a generous dining table, and operates on a voltage range of 110 to 220V, making it easy to install regardless of the electrical setup. Hung alone or in a trio at different heights, it fills the space with soft, enveloping light, like a suspended nest watching over the room.
